Oh the places we are born!

Boy does it matter where we are born!

I was born in a compromised developing country,

Compromised in terms of ethics, cleanliness, honesty, integrity and as such.

And then there are brothers and sisters born in nations with conditions 10 times worst.

Or perhaps more.

Much, much more!

So don’t come to us from your places of clean air, human rights, and

and tell us that you are an over achiever,

That hot water showers are a basic,

That it is our fault that we accept minimum wages,

That why did we settle for what we did!

That we had choices,

And that we could have had it all!

Come to my place,

the low place,

the dirty place,

the dark place.

This place where opportunity is like that drop of water in the vast desert,

where oppression lives and breathes and sleeps near most of us.

When we die, it just finds a new home,

because we are a billion here.

So, come to my place and sit with me in this darkness.

And may be, just may be you will know.
